Welcome to the learning page of Barn Owl class. Miss Reeder, Miss Gardner, Miss Bradley and Mrs Goldburn are the adults in our class.
The wonderful children in Barn Owls are hard-working, loyal, enthusiastic and love a laugh! During this strange time, they have adapted to a mixture of school and home learning. We enjoy getting together for our live lessons, but not quite as much as we love all being together in the classroom.
Our umbrella from 22nd February until July is
Reign Over Us!
This is a historical project exploring British history through the concept of leadership and the changing faces and power of British rulers and monarchs.
From the arrival of the Romans in AD43 to our monarch, Queen Elizabeth II today.
We will be learning to compare and contrast how our rulers have changed over the centuries as children come to know these key leaders in chronological order.
We will also learn how the relationship between monarch and parliament has changed and how civil wars have been fought to keep or lose “The Crown”.
By July, we will know how the monarchy has shaped our country as why is it famous all over the world.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
