The World's Kitchen (Summer 2017)
We are learning what the main food groups are and about the importance of a balanced diet. Also we are applying and extending our geography knowledge to investigate where in the world our food comes from. Where do bananas grow? What about peaches, oranges, tomatoes, rice, coffee etc? We will also be practising our practical skills by cooking and baking. Exciting visits and trips are also planned! Keep watching this space to find out more...
Amid all the fun-filled, excitement of preparing for Christmas, Buzzard Class have had great fun creating our own festive poems, including many acrostics. Here are a selection of them for you to enjoy.
Can you see which words are being spelt with the first letters of each line?
Harvest Assembly 09.10.15
We were delighted to perform our poem 'Autumn Is Here' to the whole school and all the parents and other visitors! Thank you all for coming to share this special assembly with us.
Inspired by India
In Buzzard Class, we have already learned about where India is in the world, its main cities and rivers. We have also found out why the River Ganges is so important, especially to the Hindu faith, and about the different climates in different parts of this huge land. We have used the internet to research about the Taj Mahal and create factfiles using PowerPoint.
