This is the Common Buzzard.
Welcome to Buzzard Class!
A delightful class of Year 3 and Year 4 children. Our teacher is Mr James and we are very fortunate to have Mrs Webster, Mrs Goodyear and Miss Chapman helping us with our learning.
Our umbrella this term is
'Breathtaking Beasts'
In Geography, we'll be learning about human and physical features:
continents, oceans, countries, cities, rivers and mountains. We'll be using various physical and online maps and images to discover where everything is. Then we will look at which 'beasts' live where, and how they have adapted to live in that habitat.
In Science, we'll be learning to be 'Fit for Success': identifying which kinds of foods we humans need to be healthy and strong, and why a balanced diet is crucially important to us all. How many bones does a human skeleton have? How many muscles do we have? We're about to find out...!
In Art, we will learn about how famous artists blended colours very
carefully for special effect and applying these skills to our own artwork on 'Breathtaking Beasts'.
Our RE learning will focus on Islam: what Muslims believe in, how they worship God (Allah), how they celebrate births and weddings, reflecting on how Islam is similar/different to Christianity.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
