From June 24th to June 27th Year 4, 5 and 6 will be on an adventure!
Several months of anticipation come to an end as our much anticipated trip date arrives.
Bags are packed, waterproofs dug out of under-stairs cupboards, parents anxious and children excited!
Watch this space!
Day 4 Monday 27th June
Views from the top of the zip wire. Would you jump?
Is it a Ninja?
No it's the Billingborough Musketeers - on guard!
Day 3 Sunday 26th June
Last one tucked in (again!) Lights off all round grown ups too. See you all tomorrow, hope your laundry baskets are empty...
Ahoy me hearties...
We're going on a PGL hunt... Have to go over it, have to go under it,
Have to go through it,
Won't go round it. This school can!
Our children can!
Down in the woods, on the trapeze, under a gloomy sky. All well, a little more awake than yesterday. Which may or may not be a blessing!
Ambush in the bushes! Miss Gardner disguised as a bush in a game of ambush.
Day 2 Saturday 25th June
Silence; the exhausted are all asleep. Let's hope that's not tempting fate.
Chicken and chips or lasagne, oh and chocolate doughnuts too - no wonder the tea table's clear! (There was salad and fruit as well).
Safe in their hands. And when you fall, get up and TRY again! Billingborough mind set in action. Oh and we dodged all the rain too, dry and warm all day.
Mid afternoon rather over cast but dry so far. A few flagging but lunch rallied most including the PE coordinator...
Just hanging around! Happy birthday Zoe. Enjoying birthday cake.
Super star abseiler.
We can build a bridge.
All well if some of us rather more sleepy that others...
Breakfast? Lots of sausages and bananas!
At morning activities now.
Day 1 Friday 24th June
Only a few die hard whisperers left.
PJs on, teeth cleaned (allegedly), lights out, asleep? Don't be silly, it's not dark yet!
Dinner went down a treat! Having refuelled, the children are sprinting around the grounds on a "Cluedo hunt". They are seemingly impressed by their rooms. Our favourite comment so far, on entering their bathroom
"Look at the on sweet it's bloomin' massive!" On that note - not long until shower time...
Arrived safely. All unpacked and tour of the grounds completed. Getting ready for some games before dinner at 5.45pm. Fish and chips, beef or pasta. 34 hungry children are ready to eat!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
