A beautiful, sunny July morning saw the whole school out on the field for another fabulous Sports Day. Taking place at the end of our 'International Fortnight', the event began with a lovely parade around the field, with all the children proudly waving the flag of the country they had been learning about. On to the carousel of activities, where the children enthusiastically took part in a broad range of PE skills: running, chasing, throwing, hitting hockey and golf balls. After having a go at all the events, we moved onto the track to witness exciting obstacle and sprint races. The children's tremendous effort, and the determination on their faces, was a wonderful sight as they all tried their hardest to beat their classmates and win points for their house team. Which colour ribbons will be on the trophy this year?
And the winning house is......Fortescue (for the second year running)!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
