We are seeking to appoint a pro-active, enthusiastic and dedicated caretaker to join our school community.

There is an alternative opportunity for 30 hours per week for 42 weeks fulfilling the role of the cleaner and caretaker. The hours are split 6:30am – 9.30am and 3pm-6pm (however there is some flexibility in the exact times which can be discussed).
Other duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Cleaning
• Reporting any defects to relevant staff.
• You will be required to understand and operate the school security and fire alarm systems.
• You will be required to be available for relevant contractors who may be carrying out work in school holidays and/or before or after school opening times.

• You will be the first point of call for any problems with the school site during out of hours and may be contacted in the event of the intruder alarm being activated.
These extra opening times would be in discussion with yourself and would be counted as part of the 4 additional weeks. Joinery skills, basic plumbing and an understanding of heating systems and electrics would be an advantage as would experience and an understanding of health and safety and COSHH requirements. However, training will be provided to enable you to undertake duties safely and comply with current health and safety legislation, via Lincolnshire County Council, which consists of a full day at County offices in Lincoln.
